How to Mix Binaural Beats With Music
STEP 1
Download and install an audio editing program. Adobe Audition, Adobe Sound booth and Sony Sound Forge all provide the needed editing features. All of these programs can be downloaded for free. Adobe Audition actually includes a feature that helps users generate binaural beats. All of these programs follow the same process to mix the two audio files.
STEP 2
Open the audio editing program. Open a new track by clicking "File," "New."
STEP 3
Import the binaural beat audio track into the program. Navigate to the directory where the binaural beats are stored. Click and hold on the binaural beats audio track and drag it into the audio editing program.
STEP 4
Import the music audio track into the program. Navigate to the directory where the music track is stored. Click and hold on the music audio track and drag it into the audio editing program. Now both audio tracks will appear as separate tracks in the audio editing program.
STEP 5
Shorten the binaural beats to the length of the music track. Click and hold on the end of the binaural beat track drag it backwards until the track is as long as the music track. Binaural beat recordings usually are 30 minutes to one hour.
STEP 6
Adjust the volumes on the tracks. Some artistry and a keen ear are needed to mix the audio volume of both tracks. Click on the "Volume Control" next to the binaural beat track and adjust the volume of the binaural beat. The binaural beat should barely be audible. Just loud enough to hear if the listener is looking for it. This ensures the perfect mix of music without the binaural beat being obtrusive.
STEP 7
Click "File," "Save As." A "Save Dialog Box" will appear. Use the explorer window to navigate to the directory where the newly mixed file will be saved. Enter a "File Name." Select the "Type Of File" that the recording will be saved as. MP3 is recommended for size and compatibility. Click "Save." The file will now be saved. This process may take several minutes.
STEP 8
Navigate to the recently savedfile after the program is finished saving, and double click on that file to listen to it.
